• The Port Authority of València participates in Rotterdam’s special cargo and ro-ro trade fair: Breakbulk

València, 22 May 2024.- Valenciaport has a lot to say, explain and detail to current and future customers about its capabilities for handling special or breakbulk cargo and ro-ro cargo. The Port Authority of València works hand in hand with the exporter and importer with the aim of efficiently managing goods that – due to their size, singularity or format – require a differentiated handling at the docks. And currently, the global fair where most of the supply and demand of this industry is concentrated is the Breakbulk Fair in Rotterdam. An event that opened its doors to the professional public and where Valenciaport participates as an exhibitor, with the stand of Puertos del Estado.

Néstor Martínez, deputy director of Commercial and Business Development, and Teresa Garcia Ibarra, head of Ro-ro and Short Sea Shipping, will be the PAV managers who will attend to clients and companies interested in learning about the capacities of the Valencian terminals. The PAV delegation goes to Rotterdam with a busy schedule of contacts with logistics operators, shipping companies, manufacturers and intermediaries.

As in previous editions, the PAV will be highlighting the specialisation of the Port of Sagunto for special cargo and the competitive advantages offered by the Sagunto docks in the short term for handling this type of goods. Valenciaport’s facilities are highly competitive for goods of special dimensions and weights that are handled by specific cranes and qualified personnel.

BreakBulk Europe is the most important trade fair for bulk cargo, project cargo logistics and ro-ro in Europe. This year’s edition has 600 registered exhibiting companies and institutions from 126 countries. The organisers have reported that they have registered more than 11,000 trade visitors.
