The general manager of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Francesc Sánchez, explained to them how the port is managed, and the projects being developed to consolidate its position as a strategic hub

València, January 19th, 2022.- The general manager of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Francesc Sánchez, has explained to the students of the Executive Master’s in Business Administration (EMBA) of the Business School (EDEM), the functioning of the port area, the services it offers to companies and the importance of the logistics-port chain in the world economy.

Francesc Sánchez has explained to the postgraduate students the programmes that Valenciaport is carrying out to reinforce its position as a strategic hub port in the Mediterranean at the service of the Spanish import/export network. These objectives are focused on the environment and decarbonisation, digitalisation, innovation, the development of sustainable infrastructures, connectivity and commitment to intermodality with the railway and the city-port relationship.

After the presentation of the general director of the PAV, the EMBA students of EDEM, have made a tour among the facilities of the Port of Valencia where they have known in firsthand the daily operation of the port activity. Specifically, they visited APM Terminals Valencia where they were attended by Miguel Ruiz, Head of Employee Relations.
