For its part, Carmen Serrano, director of the international department of the Chamber of Commerce of Teruel recalled that this is the second visit that is organized to the port of Valencia. “We came five years ago and the results for our companies were very positive. Therefore, we wanted to repeat and, probably, we will do it again to attract more companies from Teruel that export and import through the port of Valencia. From the Chamber of Commerce we believe it is important to make this type of visits so that companies in our province that are engaged in foreign trade can know in situ the operation of a port and can understand first hand its complexity. Today they have wanted to accompany us companies that export and usually import products such as fruits, hams, almonds, fertilizers or wood, among others. For us, Valencia is, without a doubt, the port of Teruel “.

Likewise, from the Savino del Bene freight forwarder they wanted to emphasize that “the services offered by the Port of Valencia are very good for the interests of Teruel and it allows all the importing and exporting companies to save logistical costs since the distance that separates us, 140 kilometers, it’s very scarce”.

During the visit, the entrepreneurs of Teruel have been able to know the operation of the Border Inspection Post of the port of Valencia as well as the inspections that are carried out in it. Savino Del Bene explained to the businessmen of Teruel that “the inspections have improved a lot in the last year and today they are guarantee of agility in goods treatment. All this has helped the PAV to establish a specific guarantee that establishes the maximum time that a container can remain inside. All this gives a great security to the exporting and importing companies “.

The visit concluded with a tour by sea through the port of Valencia where they were able to visit the main terminals of the site.
