Processed construction materials, cereals and flours and wines are the most exported products from the docks of the Port of Valencia to Cameroon

València, September 8th, 2021.- To get first-hand knowledge of the daily operation of one of the most important ports in Europe and one of the benchmarks in container traffic, its commitment to digital transformation and its commitment to the fight against climate change. This was the objective of a delegation from the Port of Kribi (Cameroon), led by its general director Patrice Melom, who toured the facilities of the Valencian port and held meetings with the general director of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Francesc Sánchez, the head of Digital Transformation of the PAV, Víctor Giner, and the head of International Business Development of the Valenciaport Foundation, Miguel Garín.

According to Garín, “this visit has its origin in a project that Prodevelop, in collaboration with the ValenciaPort Foundation, has been developing for two years with the Port of Kribi (Cameroon) for the implementation of a PMIS (Port Management Information System). The intention of both parties is to continue this line of joint work in everything related to the digital transformation and smartport of this port”.

The Cameroonian representatives were particularly interested in the digital transformation projects being carried out by the PAV, such as ValenciaportPCS, a value-generating technological platform that offers a thousand companies services aimed at streamlining the operational processes of the port community.
