Valencia, May 25, 2026 – The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has launched the bidding process for the renovation of the metal structure of the elevated boardwalk at the Port of Valencia, located in the La Marina area. The project aims to repair this area and improve conditions along the promenade, which is part of the public spaces within the port complex.
The project, initiated by the Port Authority of Valencia, has a budget of €2,257,841.15 (including VAT) and is expected to take 15 months to complete.
The work includes cleaning, repairing, and treating the metal structure to ensure its long-term preservation. In addition, the benches and the pergola located at the end of the promenade near the harbour entrance will be repaired. Safety and functionality features along the pedestrian path will also be improved and reinforced, including upgrades to the access stairs, handrails, and lighting.
Conservation based on environmental criteria The tender also includes special environmental performance requirements. To promote the use of renewable energy, the use of electric generators and compressors powered by internal combustion engines is prohibited. In addition, materials that can be reused must be managed by an authorized waste management company.
