• The exhibition ‘Destination: 0 emissions’ has been visited by 1,508 people during the week it has been open to the public in the Clock Building to show the contribution and actions being developed by port companies in environmental matters

València, 11 June 2024.- A total of 1,508 people in one week. This has been the satisfactory response of the Valencian public to the exhibition organised in the Clock Building on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Under the name ‘Destino 0% emisiones’ (‘Destination 0% Emissions’), from 1 to 9 June, the Clock Building hosted the exhibition – open and free for all residents and visitors – focusing on the actions that the Port Authority of València (PAV) and the companies of the port community are carrying out to combat climate change and decarbonisation.

The exhibition showed how the maritime sector has developed a present and future strategy based on sustainability; and in the case of the València port community, by the common goal of Valenciaport zero emissions. In this exhibition, the actions being carried out by the PAV, the Valenciaport Foundation and companies and institutions such as Amarradores Valencia, APM Terminals, Aportem, Baleària, Boluda, Centro Portuario de Empleo, CSP Spain, Docks Logistic o Fertiberia. También colaboran Galp, Grupo Torres, Infoport, InterSagunto Terminales, MSC Terminal Valencia, Noatum, Valencia Terminal Europa, RCN, Seroil, Servamar, Tepsa, Transmed, Vareser or VMG, also collaborated.

In addition, on 5 June, the Clock Building hosted the conference ‘Actions linked to zero emissions in port companies; and in parallel, from 2 to 9 June, children’s educational workshops were organised focusing on the importance of reducing carbon emissions. These workshops were unique this year. The pupils were seated and worked on tables and stools made from fishing nets lost at sea, furniture donated to the Port Authority by AIMPLAS, the Technological Institute of Plastics, as part of the INNORAP project.
