- The Board of Directors has been briefed on the annual financial statements for fiscal year 2025, which closed with pre-tax earnings of more than 43 million euros (+47.8%)
- The Port Authority is continuing its investment program and has approved a credit facility worth 160 million euros
- The Port of Sagunto continues to enhance its capacity with the authorization granted to the Bulk Maritime Terminal to expand its area by 3,376 square metres.

Valencia, 29 June 2026 – Valenciaport has closed its consolidated annual accounts for the 2025 financial year with a net turnover of more than 163 million euros, representing an increase of over 8% compared to 2024.
The president of the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), Mar Chao, announced these figures at the Board of Directors meeting held today at the Clock Building in the Port of Valencia. Consolidated pre-tax income exceeded 43 million euros, representing a 47.8% increase over the previous year, thanks to management efforts and cost containment.
The Board of Directors has also approved authorization for a financial transaction in the amount of up to 160 million euros; a loan necessary to finance the Investment Plan for the 2026–2030 period.
In other matters, authorization has been granted to LCR HISPÁNICA S.A. to provide commercial rail shunting services, as well as any other services related to train operations, at the ports of Valencia and Sagunto. With this authorization, Valenciaport now has eleven rail service companies operating within its facilities.In this regard, it is worth noting that up to May 2026, a total of 2,187 trains have operated through the APV facilities, handling 1,173,481 tonnes of cargo, representing a 19% increase. In container terms, this corresponds to 125,352 units, up 17%.
Expansion of the commercial area at the Port of Sagunto
Meanwhile, the Port of Sagunto’s facilities continue to expand their capacity, following the approval of an amendment to the administrative concession granted to Terminal Marítima de Graneles Sagunto SL. This non-substantial amendment will allow the concessionaire to expand its area at South Pier One and North Pier Two by 3,376 square meters.

The Council has also approved the revised assessment of land and water in the Port of Sagunto’s service area, following the completion of the public information and stakeholder hearing process.
The Master’s Degree in Port Management
The Board of Directors has agreed to extend the agreement between the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and Valenciaport for the delivery of the Master’s Degree in Port Management and Intermodal Transportation and the related specialized courses in port management, intermodal transportation, maritime transportation, and land transportation. This extension is for a period of 4 years.
It has also been agreed to grant the Valenciaport Foundation the rights to operate this university master’s program, as well as the related courses for specialists in port management, intermodal transport, maritime transport, land transport, and customs management.
The Board has approved the granting of a compulsory leave of absence to Luis Fernando Sánchez, who has been appointed Director of the Port Authority of Alicante. As a result of this leave, changes have been approved in the boards of Infoport and VPI Logística, as well as in the responsibility for the contract for the new container quay in the northern expansion of the Port of Valencia.In this regard, Mar Chao informed the APV Board of the incorporation into Infoport of the Head of Containers, Cristina Rodríguez. Regarding the new terminal, the Board of the Port Authority has appointed the Deputy Director of Infrastructure, Manuela Gras, as the new contract manager for the container quay, replacing Luis Fernando Sánchez.
In the same line, the Board has processed changes in the Port and Navigation Councils of the ports managed by the APV, following the departure of Salvador Navarro as a member of the Board of Directors and the renewal of José Vicente Morata as a member of the same body.
In this respect, Morata has been appointed Chair of the Port and Navigation Council of the Port of Valencia, while the vice-chairmanship has been assigned to Carlos Prades. Meanwhile, the Port and Navigation Councils of the Ports of Sagunto and Gandia will be chaired by Prades, with Morata serving as vice-chair.
