- The Port Authority of València (PAV) is promoting its sustainable infrastructures and decarbonisation projects at the International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair being held in Shenzhen (China) from 21 to 23 September

València, 21 September 2023.- Connectivity with more than 1,000 ports in the world, high added value services and all the projects that have been launched to achieve the Valenciaport 2030 objective: zero emissions. This is the letter of introduction of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) at the main logistics and transport fair of the Asian continent International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair (CILF 2021), which is being held from 21 to 23 September in the city of Shenzhen.
The head of Commercial and Clients of the PAV, Cristina Rodríguez, will take part tomorrow in the WPCS Forum to explain the competitive advantages of the three Valenciaport facilities and their position as a strategic hub in the Mediterranean. Other ports such as Rotterdam, Riga, Gdansk, Antwerp and Taranto are also taking part in the event. Valenciaport will also be present at the Shenzhen International Automobile Roll on Roll of Logistics Forum.
During the CILF, the PAV will sign its adhesion to the Shenzhen Declaration, an agreement to promote cooperation between the international port community in innovation, development of intelligent ports and to favour a joint port and maritime transport ecosystem.
Decarbonisation projects
Valenciaport will also make known at the Shenzhen event through its stand its projects to become a 100% decarbonised port, its commitment to the fight against climate change and decarbonisation. To this end, it has detailed information on initiatives such as the construction of the electrical substation for the connection of ships berthed in port to the grid, the installation of photovoltaic panels in the ports of Valencia and Gandia or the implementation of hydrogen projects in port installations and machinery in the port area of València.
