  • Valenciaport’s commercial department has held working meetings with the tile logistics and business community with the aim of contributing to its growth as a sector and as a benchmark industry in Spain

València, 1 March 2024.- The Valencian and Spanish ceramics sector has in Valenciaport its strategic ally to facilitate the export of its products to all corners of the world. For this reason, Cevisama, the international benchmark event for the tile sector, is one of the unmissable events for the Port Authority of València (PAV) within the framework of the industry’s meetings.

With the aim of consolidating markets and opening up new sales niches, the PAV’s commercial department has had its own stand where it has held meetings with the logistics and business community of ceramics, bathroom equipment and natural stone. At these meetings, experiences, needs, strategies and resources were shared to help the sector’s entrepreneurs to contribute to its growth as a sector and as an industry of reference in Spain.

Specifically, at the close of the 2023 financial year, more than 4.2 million tonnes of products from the sector were exported through the Valencian precinct. Likewise, the high connectivity of the Port of València together with its wide international projection allows Valencian ceramic products to reach 143 countries in the five continents. These figures were made clear this week at the Valenciaport stand at the CEVISAMA trade fair, which was held from 26 February to 1 March at Feria Valencia.
