The American shipping company Viking Cruises has made seven stopovers this year in the port of Valencia

 Valencia, November the 1st 2017. – The Viking Sun has today made its first stopover in the port of Valencia. This stopover is part of the inaugural trip of this new ship of the company Viking Cruises that came into operation at the end of last September. On its maiden voyage, this cruise will travel 35 countries and 66 ports in a journey that will last 141 days. A commemorative plaque has  been given this morning to the company to commemorate this first stop, in a ceremony that was attended by Mar Chao, Commercial Director of the Port Authority of Valencia; Máximo Caletrio, Responsible for Tourism Cruises Valencia and Cristina Rodríguez, Marketing Director of Pérez & Cía.

The Viking Cruises, consigned by Pérez & Cía, is considered a luxury ship of last generation in environmental matters. It has a length of 227 meters; 28.8 meters of beam and capacity to transport up to 930 passengers in its 465 cabins. The US shipping company Viking Cruises has made a major commitment to Valencia with a total of seven stopovers this year. This is a significant increase since in 2015 was launched with a single stopover in Valencia. With ships of 228 meters in length, and capacity for 900 passengers, the shipping company in Valencia offers its cruise passengers, mainly Americans, a wide range of excursions that have a great reception.
