The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has organised a cycling route, an initiative promoted by the workers themselves which aims to encourage the use of bicycles, in which 14 people took part and covered a distance of 70 kilometres. The route started from the workshop area of the Port of València and went along the promenade to Tarongers Avenue, where they turned off to take the cycle lane towards Alboraya and Meliana. After leaving Meliana behind, they continued along the Via Augusta through the orange groves of Horta Nord to Albuixech, Massalfassar, El Puig and Puzol.

The route continued along the Lliria road to reach the Plaza Mayor of Sagunto, where some of the participants climbed up to the castle of this town in a climb with an average gradient of 10%. The return trip went in the opposite direction and once past El Puig we crossed La Marjal de Rafalell and Vistabella, until we reached Port Saplaya and the seafront promenade.

The use of bicycles is one of the objectives set in the Sustainable Mobility Plan of the Port of València, an initiative with the participation of the entire port community.
