Student groups must arrive and leave the terminals of these companies by public transport (buses) or public transport.

Between 10th and 22nd June, there will be numerous departures of student groups to the Balearic Islands on the different ferry lines departing from the port of Valencia.

The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) and the companies Transmed and Baleària have established a joint protocol for the coming days in view of the departure and entry of groups of students on end-of-year trips who will board the company’s ferries bound for the Balearic Islands. The aim is to facilitate boarding and disembarking, as well as access to the terminal facilities of the companies and the Port of Valencia.

Thus, between 10 and 22 June there will be numerous departures and arrivals of student groups on the different ferry lines from the Port of Valencia. In addition, various events are also scheduled to take place in the La Marina area during these days. These situations may lead to congestion on the access roads.

In order to facilitate the circulation of vehicles and people, in addition to the coordination established between the Port Authority and the shipping companies for the better management of arrivals and departures, it is requested that students should preferably arrive at the port by bus or public transport to avoid an excessive number of private vehicles congesting roads and parking areas.

Thus, in coordination with Baleària, it has been established that all student groups should arrive and leave the terminal by public transport (buses), while student groups using the Transmed terminal should preferably enter or leave by public transport or buses.

The PAV advises against using private vehicles to avoid overcrowding at the entrances and exits of these groups. It is essential that whatever the vehicle in which passengers are arriving or leaving the port, their stay should be the minimum necessary. Therefore, the use of the available spaces will be limited to the time necessary to unload or load the passenger.

Valenciaport asks that the shipping companies’ instructions be followed at all times and that they collaborate as much as possible with their staff and the Port Police to facilitate operations during these days.
