Exports advanced by 42.88% in the accumulated between January and September.

The regular line between Gandia and Ibiza has accumulated 32,618 passengers since its entry into operation

Gandia, October the 18th 2017. – The statistical bulletin of the Port Authority of Valencia notes that the port of Gandia returned to the growth path at the end of the third quarter of the year. In particular, in the accumulated between January and September, the port of Gandia has handled 276,853 tonnes, a figure that represents an increase of 0.94% compared to the same period of the year 2015. Foreign trade retreated slightly a 0.04% due to the performance of imports falling by 19.81%. In contrast, exports from the port of Gandia advanced by 42.88%.

Conventional general cargo is up 1.76%, with a total movement of 272,270 tonnes. This heading includes goods such as paper and pulp, with traffic of 121,000 tonnes and a decrease of 11.74%; chemicals, with 73,000 tonnes and an increase of 29.19%; and wood and cork, with traffic of 64,000 tonnes and an increase of 29.86%.

Regarding passenger traffic, the regular line between Gandia and Ibiza has reached 32,618 passengers since its entry into operation last April.
