More than 400 boys and girls from the Maritime District took part in the second edition of the Aportem Solidarity Football Tournament held at the Natzaret Sports Centre. After the special success achieved in last year’s edition, Aportem – Puerto Solidario València and the Atlético Nazaret sports club have once again joined forces to give the children of the Port of Valencia a festive day, with football and solidarity as the focal points of the initiative.

Twenty-two teams took part in the tournament, with a total of 307 boys and girls from seven schools. To this figure must be added the children and adults who accompanied and encouraged the players. For them, the organisation set up various parallel activities in the grounds of the Nazaret Sports Centre, where this sport and social responsibility initiative took place, which brought together more than 400 children.

In addition to the València City Council and the Municipal Sports Foundation, which granted the use of the sports facilities, the event was supported by the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), the Valencia CF Foundation, the Levante U.D. Foundation, Consum, Importaco, El Corte Inglés, Signaturit, Diario del Puerto, C.A. Poblats Maritim and Novaterra. All together, under the coordination of Aportem and Atlético Nazaret, the buses to transport the children, the lunches, the commemorative diplomas and a good number of balls, t-shirts and other gifts for the participants were provided. The tournament also had the novelty of the presence of the mascots of Levante UD and Valencia CF, who were especially loved and celebrated by the children.
