A Journey to Medieval València

This week the exhibition hosted a day to learn about the city of Valencia during the Golden Age from three experts from the University of Valencia. The professors of Art History, Amadeo Serra and Luis Arciniega, and the professor of Human Geography, Josep Vicent Boira, together with Arturo Monfort, head of Infrastructure Planning and Port Development of the APV, explained the social, cultural and architectural framework of this period.
The speakers took a journey through time to explain the characteristics of the city, the geopolitical situation at the time, the art and culture that developed in Valencia, and the importance of commercial activity and the Port of Valencia in the entry and exit of people, art and goods.
