The port of Gandia ended the month of November with a 13.45% increase in paper and pulp. Total traffic of these goods rose by 166,460 tonnes, consolidating the port as the reference enclave for this type of cargo.

In terms of total traffic, according to the latest statistical data from the Port Authority of Valencia, the facility handled 326,649 tonnes from January to November, representing down 9.16% compared to the same period in the previous year. Foreign trade fell by 8.97% due to the behaviour of export traffic, which went down 34.62%. Conversely, imports increased by 11.24%.

Conventional general cargo decreased by 5.90% to a total of 322,387 tonnes. This decrease was mainly due to chemical products, which fell by 31.80% to 68,000 tonnes; and of wood and cork, which went down by 17.73% to 60,000 tonnes.

Containerised general cargo decreased by 71.56%, to a total of 4,860 tonnes due to the decrease in the throughput of fruits, vegetables and pulses, which fell by 69% to 4,20 tonnes.
