Both terminals will extend their opening hours to 6.00 a.m. from 13 April for the delivery of import and empty containers.

The president of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Aurelio Martínez, explained after the meeting of the Board of Directors the extension of opening hours of MSC Terminal Valencia and CSP Iberian Terminal Valencia. Specifically, from Tuesday 13 April, both terminals will open their doors earlier at 6.00 a.m. (they currently open at 8.00 a.m.), for the delivery of import containers and empty containers.

“With this earlier opening time, access is facilitated for those traffics that need to start their activity as early as possible because they have to take the import or the empty container to the customer to be filled”, explained Aurelio Martínez. “In addition, this new timetable will help to decongest the terminals before container arrivals begin at 8.00 a.m.”. In this regard, it should be noted that at both terminals at 8.00 a.m., normal operations will be activated, including the collection of export and empty containers.

In addition, CSP Iberian Terminal Valencia will delay the closing time of the doors to 21.00 hours, which will facilitate the access of export traffic that may have suffered delays in its operations throughout the day. Likewise, the work inside the terminal will continue after the closing of the gates until all the trucks that have entered the terminal have been dealt with.

For its part, MSC Terminal Valencia will continue with its commitment to attend to the transports that are in the Pre-Entry area at the time of the theoretical closing of the gates (19.30 hours).
