The exhibition ‘Això és TEU- 5.000.000’ has been open between December 4 and December 10 in the Clock Building

Valencia, 11th December 2018.- The exhibition ‘Això és TEU- 5.000.000’ has exceeded 3.000 visits. In the 6 days in which it has been opened, between December 4 and December 10, the flow of visitors interested in the exhibition, located in the Clock Building of the port of Valencia, has been constant.

The exhibition has paid tribute to the Valencian port community, the authentic protagonist of having achieved the historic milestone of overcoming the 5 million containers managed int 12 months. It is the first port of the Spanish port system and the Mediterranean to reach this figure. The inauguration of the exhibition also allowed capturing an historical snapshot, bringing together the las four presidents of the Port Authority of Valencia and the businessman who introduced the first private crane in the Valencian site, Perfecto Palacio.

For 6 days, the visitors of the exhibition have been able to review the history of the three ports that make up Valenciaport, highlighting as a turning point the important evolution experienced since, in 1970, the first containers arrived to the port of Valencia. The sample has also collected the significant economic impact that Valenciaport has on the Valencian Community. Specifically, the main data appeared in the latest Economic Impact Study of Valenciaport, among which stand out the almost 39.000 jobs generated by the port activity.

In addition to a children’s area and a multisensory room in which the viewer can learn about the daily activity of a terminal, the exhibition includes a panel on the different port trades designed by Ortifus. Also, visitors can access the inside of a container to see the variety of goods that is channeled daily through them.

The environmental polices of Valenciaport, the ports of Sagunto and Gandia or the route taken by a shoe from its manufacture until it is sold thousands of kilometers from its place of production are other panels that can be seen in the sample located in the Clock building.
