The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has made a presentation of the services, infrastructures and sustainability projects

València, March 30th, 2023.- A delegation of French businessmen visited the Port of Valencia this morning on a mission organised by the French-Spanish Chamber of Commerce. The visit was attended by some twenty representatives of French companies operating in Spain and France in sectors such as logistics, ports, energy and construction, among others.

The head of Energy Transition of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Federico Torres, and the head of Business Intelligence, Manuel García, attended the delegation to explain the initiatives being carried out by Valenciaport in the environmental and commercial areas.

The French delegation showed interest in the port facilities, the new container terminal located in the northern extension of the Port of Valencia, the actions to boost rail traffic and sustainability initiatives such as the use of hydrogen in port operations, the installation of photovoltaic plants or the projects to build electrical substations to connect ships docking at the Valencian precinct to electricity.

In 2022, Valenciaport channelled close to 1.4 million tonnes of goods with France – a similar amount to the previous year -, mainly to/from the port of Fos. The main goods channelled with France are iron and steel products, practically half, followed by wines, chemical products and cereals and their flours.
