Gandia, February the 15th 2019
The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) – held today Friday 15th at the emblematic Ducal Palace of Gandia – has approved the non-substantial modification of the administrative concession held by the ‘REAL CLUB NÁUTICO DE GANDIA’ in the port of Gandia (detailed below, in point 7) and has been informed of the importance of the “Investment plan 2019-2023 of the PAV” in the port area of Gandia for the region of La Safor. A plan that contemplates an investment of more than 28 million euros, mainly destined to:
- 1,853,000 euros for the port access works that have already been awarded and have a deadline of 9 months. It is foreseen that these works will be combined with the works for equipping the access controls, which have a budget of € 800,000, and whose start is planned for summer. These works, together with the imminent completion of the bypass works of the southern access to the port of Gandia by the Ministry, will mean freeing heavy traffic from the urban area of the city and offering better growth conditions to the port area.
- 146,300 euros for the works to improve the dredging of the port, which was scheduled to start in March and which have a 3-month execution period.
- 500,000 euros for the rehabilitation of the Dock Fund, which is scheduled for 2019
- 14.5 million euros for the works of the enclosure and berthing of the Serpis 2 dock that will be distributed as follows: 4 million euros in 2021, 4 million euros in 2022 and 6.5 million euros from 2023.
- 1.5 million euros for the new port offices and services building.
In addition to the aspects related to Gandia, the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia has adopted the following agreements:
- 1. Approval of the proposed inter-administrative agreement between the Ministry of Development, the Department of Housing, Public Works and Vertebration of the Territory of the Generalitat Valenciana, the City of Valencia, ADIF, Ports of the State and the Port Authority of Valencia for the development of the Intermodal and Logistics Terminal of Valencia Fuente San Luis. This agreement is pending signature and must be approved in advance by each of the agencies.
- 2. Approval agreement between the Port Authority of Valencia and the City of Sagunto, for processing by State Ports before the Ministry of Development for the purpose of obtaining prior authorization for signature to be granted by the Ministry of Finance. It is a modification of the agreement previously approved for a change in the legal figure. The agreement provides for an objective mutation by the Municipality of Sagunto to the PAV of land for rail access to the port.
- 3. Approval of new rates for the commercial service of use of the transactional portal ValenciaportPCS.net by companies making available to port workers. These rates will come into effect on February 1, 2019 and involve the incorporation of a new user profile to the transactional portal.
- 4. Authorization to ALBATROS SHIPPING, SL for the provision of commercial services as a ship sourcing agent in the ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia for a term of 3 years.
- 5. Authorization to Dª ELSA INÉS BEATRIZ DOS SANTOS for the provision of commercial service of ship supplies in the ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia for a term of 3 years.
- 6. Authorization to MADICO Y VILLARROEL, SL for the provision of commercial services as a ship sourcing agent in the ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia for a term of 3 years.
- 7. Approval of a non-substantial modification of the administrative concession held by the REAL CLUB NÁUTICO DE GANDIA in the port of Gandia, by modification of the “Basic Project of remodeling and expansion of facilities and the new social building”. This modification means an increase in the constructed area by 4.8% and allows a better urban integration and greater permeability with the end of the seafront.
- 8. Authorization of indirect transmission of the license and concession title of SEROIL VALENCIA, SL to RECICLA MAS 2005, SL
- 9. Authorization of the transmission of the administrative concession of VULKAN SHIPYARD, SL in the Port of Sagunto to WINTERHAVEN HOLDINGS, SL for the activity of shipyard / boatyard and school of nautical crafts for the construction, repair and sale of boats, as well as for the training of professionals in the construction of boats.
- 10. Approval of a contribution of up to 115,000 euros to the Foundation of the Ports Institute of Studies and Cooperation of the Valencian Community (FEPORTS) for its liquidation due to extinction.
- 11. Approval of a contribution of 66,000 euros for the financial year 2019 corresponding to the Memorandum of Understanding signed with UNCTAD and ‘Ports of the state’
