A South Asian film production has chosen Valencia’s port facilities as a stage for filming
València, February the 19th 2019.- The port of Valencia has become during these days on the stage of one of the South Asian productions, which will be released before the summer in the cinemas of India.
The technical team of the cinematographic project -which has as its provisional name “Production number 4”; – is composed of 40 professionals, in addition to 250 extras and dancers who participate in the filming. The actress Kajal Aggarwal, with more than fifty films recorded, and the actor Sharwanand, recognized as one of the stars of Bollywood, have moved to the Turia’s city to shoot the feature film.
The producer José Trullenque affirms that Valencia is a magnificent city to shoot because of the meteorological conditions and the administrative facilities that have been found in the Valencian capital. Trullenque considers that the Port of Valencia is “a spectacular and different scenario because of the magnitude of the environment and what we are used to see”
For his part, the director of the film, Sudheer Varma, pointed out that “the stage assistant showed me the port of València and I saw that he fulfilled all the requirements for the scenario he was looking for” Varma explains that in India there are not as many resources in port facilities as Valenciaport has.
Also, one of the camera operators has praised the clear light and lighting of the city of Valencia, as one of the key elements for the recording. Regarding Valenciaport, it considers that it has great potential to host future recordings due to the combination of elements that it houses inside: the sea in the background, the diversity of locations within the enclosure, the landscape, the big ships, the cranes …
In recent weeks, several producers have requested information from the Port Authority of Valencia to locate scenarios in the port area and study the possibilities of filming.
