València, June 7th, 2020.- Valenciaport has received more than 1,500 photographs showing the solidarity and daily life of society during the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus as part of the campaign promoted by the Valencia Port Authority (PAV) to pay tribute to the Valencian people. Some images sent by hundreds of people where they show in an illustrative way how the Coronavirus pandemic is being dealt with from different points of view that reflect aspects such as the action of health personnel, teleworking, confinement, or adaptation to de-escalation.

Valenciaport will hold an exhibition in the Clock Building with a selection of these images taken by professional photographers such as José Aleixandre, José Peñalba, Alba García, Antonio Alcaraz, Eva Mañez, José Poveda and Tania Castro. The exhibition will be curated by art historian Ester Medán. In addition to the images selected by the experts that will be physically exhibited, an audiovisual space will be set up to show all the photographs that have arrived.

Of the more than 1,500 images received by the Valencia Port Authority, more than 800 have been pre-selected and can be seen in an online exhibition on the valenciaport website. This initiative, promoted by the PAV, has received a great deal of participation from Valencian society and highlights the relationship between the Port and the city of Valencia and the Horta region, where most of the photos received come from.

À Punt Mèdia will also participate in this exhibition with a series of videos with testimonies that have been recorded by the teams of the Valencian public television during the Covid-19 crisis. Images that show the capacity of human beings to face a situation that has changed our routine and that shows the solidarity and pain caused by the pandemic.
