In 2015, Valenciaport handled over 70 million tons of goods with countries on five continents. This figure makes Valenciaport the most used port by the importing and exporting companies of our country in its commercial relations with 84 other countries in the world.

Valenciaport is the gateway of Spanish foreign trade with economic powers like China or the United States, nearby countries like Italy or Algeria and other 80 countries of the five continents.

In the words of Aurelio Martinez, “these data show that the strategy developed by the Port Authority of Valencia has been successful. In the maritime sector, the size of the enclosures is important because it allows us to enjoy direct connections, significantly reducing the logistical costs, which ends up producing direct benefits for the business fabric used by Valenciaport for its foreign trade”.

From the analysis of the data of the Port Authority of Valencia (discounting transit and container tares) it is extracted that Valencia is the main enclosure of Spain for the maritime trade with Italy.
