València, 7 September 2023.- Valenciaport has collaborated once again this year in the promotion of the traditional festival “Les Corregudes de Joies”, a horse race that takes place on the beach of Pinedo every August. To this end, it has organised, organised and adjudicated the #lesjoiesdelport photography competition, which has attracted both fans of this art and photography clubs.
During 15, 16 and 17 August, participants uploaded their best photographs to their Instagram profile with the hashtag #lesjoiesdelport and mentioning or tagging @valenciaport – the València Port Authority’s (PAV) page on this social network. From all the images submitted to the competition, the Valenciaport jury chose the five that best captured the essence of the traditional festival and the silhouette of the Valencian port area in the background.
The winners were Antonio Anguis (@aanguism); Nuria Gil @nuriagilfogue; Carmen Medina (@_vi0let_photo); Ernesto Alonso (@eralpo55); and Claudio Chust (@claudio.chust). The decision has already been communicated to the lucky winners and also published on the PAV’s social networks, and this morning three of the winners came to collect their prizes, which were handed over by Joan Calabuig, president of Valenciaport. The prizes were five sets consisting of a backpack, a cap and a powerbank. Likewise, the winning photographs along with others taken during “Les Corregudes de Joies” by members of the Foto Club València will be exhibited – as was done last year – in the building ‘les Casotes’, the headquarters of the mayor’s office located in Pinedo. These horse races are a unique occasion to bring together photography enthusiasts, so, taking advantage of the three days of celebration of “Les Corregudes de Joies”, the Port Authority of València (PAV) encouraged all residents and visitors to watch the show and participate in the photography contest. Pinedo annually hosts this spectacle, which has a tradition of more than 160 years of history and is held in the Creu de la Conca beach area.
