Valenciaport’s objective is to bring port services closer to its area of influence
València, March 29th, 2023.- The president of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Aurelio Martínez, has held a meeting with the mayoress of Alcázar de San Juan, Rosa Melchor, to specify joint lines of work for the development of the intermodal logistics platform of the Castilian-La Mancha town. This initiative is part of Valenciaport’s strategy, which is shared by the productive fabric and the municipalities in its area of influence, to support intermodal projects in strategic locations through dry ports or loading points that connect with the Valencian precinct.
The meeting was also attended by the general manager of the APV, Francesc Sánchez; the deputy general manager of the PAV, Rubén Marín; the head of Strategic Planning and Innovation, Juan Manuel Díez Orejas; the manager of Valencia Plataforma Intermodal y Logística (VPI Logística), Fátima Zayed; and the deputy mayor of Alcázar de San Juan, Gonzalo Redondo.
Valenciaport’s objective is to bring València’s port services closer to its hinterland, which will make the industrial areas of these municipalities more dynamic, improving their competitiveness and generating a pole of attraction for more companies, resulting in the creation of more wealth and jobs. These actions favour intermodality between important import/export nodes and the Valencian precinct.
