Last week the first night train in the port of Valencia started its operation.

This service, approved by the Board of Directors in March, guarantees 24-hour rail service during work days

Valencia, July 23rd 2017. – The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), counts since last week with the night rail service. It was approved last March by the PAV Board of Directors and it started operating for the first time last Thursday with the arrival of a convoy of 25 wagons and operated by Acciona Rail. The train, which was coming from Vicálvaro (Madrid) arrived at early morning at the terminal of Noatum Container Terminal Valencia.

In response to the demand for night traffic service by the companies, the PAV signed last April a collaboration agreement with Adif which contemplates the elimination of restrictions on night traffic in the port area of Valencia. With this measure, the PAV guarantees rail services 24 hours during the working days. Adif committed to have the necessary personnel to carry out the services demanded by the Port Authority.
