València, August 3rd, 2020.- On 16 September, the Clock Building will host the exhibition-homage with the photographs received by the Valencian Port Authority in its campaign in which Valencian society has participated to show solidarity and day-to-day life during the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus. “Unforgettable images” of an extraordinary situation generated by the health emergency of the Covid-19 that show the capacity of the human being to face a moment in history that has changed our routine and that shows the solidarity and the pain caused by the pandemic.

The exhibition, which will be in the Clock Building until October 12, has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the citizens who have turned to this initiative and who have captured from the eye of their camera situations during the Coronavirus such as the actions of health or emergency personnel, confinement, teleworking or de-escalation. Hence the name of the exhibition “Unforgettable Images” of an exceptional period of recent history that will mark a before and after in health emergencies.

Photography professionals José Aleixandre, José Penalba, Alba García, Antonio Alcaraz, Eva Mañez, José Poveda and Tania Castro will be in charge of selecting the photos to be exhibited in the Clock Building, a complicated task due to the high level of the images, both from a technical and emotional point of view. The exhibition will be curated by art historian Ester Medán. In addition to the images selected by the experts that will be physically exhibited, an audiovisual space will be set up to show all the photographs that have arrived.

À Punt Mèdia will also participate in this exhibition with a series of videos with testimonies that have been recorded by the teams of the Valencian public television during the Covid-19 crisis and that have been shown on the news. First-person testimonies that show the capacity of the Valencian society to face this health emergency situation.

Images sent by hundreds of people showing how the Coronavirus pandemic is being dealt with from different points of view, reflecting aspects such as the actions of health personnel, teleworking, confinement and adaptation to de-escalation.
