• A dozen double-decker coach tours were organised by the València Port Authority so that any local resident or tourist could visit the commercial area and learn about the work carried out on the docks
  • This day is part of the Port-City activities which, on this occasion, coincided with the photographic exhibition ‘Viure el Port’ in the Clock Building, a double set of cultural events which brought hundreds of citizens and their families to the Port of Valencia

València, 21 October 2024.-El The Port of Valencia has become a meeting point this weekend. The double cultural proposal promoted by the Port Authority of València for last Saturday attracted hundreds of residents, families and tourists to the Clock Building.

On the one hand, the Clock Building was the starting point for a free bus tour of the Port of València’s commercial area, and on the other, its exhibition hall is hosting the photography exhibition ‘Viure el Port’ until 3 November. This double attraction has meant that the Valencian docks have become cultural protagonists last Saturday.

The day of free visits by bus consisted of organising a route through the interior of the commercial port in which visitors were able to see first-hand how the port facilities work and the different jobs that are carried out there. A total of 10 routes were organised in double-decker tourist buses with a route lasting one hour, guided at all times by a full explanation of the buildings, the activities and the different areas which make up the Port of València. This day took place within the framework of the Port-City actions and on this occasion coincided with the photographic exhibition ‘Viure el Port’ which is on display in the exhibition hall of the Clock Building until 3 November from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (weekends and public holidays included). The exhibition offers a human perspective of the essence of the port environment and delves into the link between the seafaring neighbourhoods of València, its port and the Mediterranean, making it the perfect complement to the visit.
