The director general of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Francesc Sánchez, last night picked up the award which Onda Cero awarded to the port of Sagunto in the category of Economy.

With this award, the jury of the XI Onda Cero Sagunto Awards has recognized the commitment made this year by the PAV for the port of Sagunt, as well as its consolidation as economic engine of the Camp de Morvedre. During this year PAV has announced important projects for the Sagunto port as the creation of a border inspection point that will open the doors to new goods, the reactivation of Parc Sagunt, or the announcement of the project of rail connection.

During his speech, Francesc Sánchez stated that “the Port of Sagunto is a safe bet at the service of the people and companies of Sagunto and Camp de Morvedre. We will strive and continue to create value for logistic companies, for companies that import and export from Sagunto, because we are committed to the economy of the region.” With these words, PAV´s General Manager thanked the award awarded last night from Onda Cero to the port of Sagunto, in a gala that recognizes the best social, sports, neighborhood, cultural and business initiatives of Camp de Morvedre.

Francesc Sánchez also dedicated the award to the workers of the port of Sagunto. “They are the first to deserve this recognition – said PAV´s General Manager – but also port companies and operators, official agencies and concessionaires. We, like PAV, are limited to managing the site. We are a tool at the service of companies and the society that serves the Port”.
