Valenciaport will present its range of services for the ceramics industry is Thursday at its stand at Cevisama

València, February 28th, 2023.- Valenciaport will present its range of services and its commitment to the ceramic and natural stone sector at Cevisama. A key industry for the economy of the Valencian Community and of great strategic importance for the ports of Valencia and Sagunto, which act as allies for the ceramic business fabric and logistic poles generating import/export trade.

The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has its own stand in Hall 4 at Cevisama, where it is exhibiting its logistics offer, its connectivity potential and the high added value services that position it as a strategic ally for the cluster’s exporting companies. During these days, the PAV is holding working meetings with representatives of the ceramics cluster and the port and logistics community that operates with this key sector for the Valencian Community.

Support for the Ceramics Awards

Within the framework of Cevisama, the general director of the PAV, Francesc Sánchez, participated this morning in the Ceramics Awards ceremony, in a ceremony attended by the president of ASCER, Vicente Nomdedeu,
The Ceramic Awards for Architecture and Interior Design are organised and promoted by ASCER (Spanish Association of Ceramic Tile Manufacturers). The awards are sponsored by Endesa, the Port Authority of Valencia and PwC Spain and are supported by the Valencian Regional Government’s Department of Finance and Economic Model within the framework of the agreement signed with ASCER. Its purpose is to highlight those architecture and interior design projects that make the best use of ceramic floor and wall tiles manufactured in Spain and the type of product represented by ASCER.

In this edition, the winners were: in the Architecture category, social housing in Ibiza, by Ripoll Tizón; in Interior Design, ‘Ávila. Projecting the Void’, by All Around Lab (Noelia de la Red, Jordi Ribas); and lastly, in the Final Degree Project category, ‘Rampant Architecture. El pueblo y la casa’, by Marta Millanes Sánchez of the Toledo School of Architecture. The prizes are worth €15,000 in the architecture and interior design categories, and €5,000 in the PFC category. Honourable mentions have also been awarded in all categories.

Presentation of Valenciaport

The head of Commercial and Business Development at the PAV, Mar Chao, will be giving a presentation this Thursday at 12.00 noon on the latest developments in the commercial and services area that Valenciaport offers the ceramics industry as a strategic port for the tile sector’s products to go abroad.
