Valencia, July the 4th 2019. – At 2:00 pm today, July 4th 2019, once the deadline for the submission of bids for the Award and constitution of a surface right over the building blocks that form part of the ZAL of the Port of Valencia, the VPI Logística company (Valencia intermodal platform and logistics S.A.S.M.E.M.P.), has certified that a total of four different offers have been submitted.
To complete the information of the offers submitted, VPI Logistica has opted to wait until the beginning of next week to check if additional offers have been submitted through some other channel.
The opening of the bids received will take place in a public act that VPI will shortly call, in accordance with the Bidding Terms and Conditions, and in accordance with the procedure established by the Law of Patrimony of the GV, the Law of the Patrimony of the Public Administrations, (the latter state standard) and urban planning legislation (state and regional), when dealing with the bidding of a surface right and this is the specific regulation for this process.
The allocation of the surface right over the referred blocks will be for its destination to the construction and use of the properties with the characteristics, parameters and uses established in the Special Plan for the development of the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) of the Port of Valencia, approved by Resolution of the Ministry of Housing, Public Works and Vertebration of the Territory dated November 29, 2018 (BOPV n.249, December 28, 2018), as well as the exploitation of the same by whoever is awarded the contract.
Among the various aspects that will be scored in order to carry out the technical assessments of the offers presented, are measures of socio-economic impact, specifically assessing the creation of jobs, especially in those groups with high risk of social exclusion, long-term unemployed and in society and the community in which the ZAL is located, an aspect that is reflected in the sixth clause a.3 of the bidding documents.
