
The works will have a budget of 20.2 million euros and an execution period of 16 months.
Valencia, September 26, 2019.- The BOE has published today the tender for the construction of the rail access project to the port of Sagunto by ADIF. The tender has a total budget of 20,218,604.62 euros and provides for a 16-month work execution.
The deadline for the reception of the offers ends on November 5 and it is expected that on December 3rd , the offers will be opened. The works aim at the construction of a rail access to the port area of Sagunto compatible with current and future traffic planned in Iberian and international width. These actions include the construction of a platform and mixed-width track of the new railway branch, the electrification of the line and the integration of the railway.
The rail access to the port of Sagunto is made up of 3 branches. The so-called “Ramal 2” and “Ramal 3” are the connecting branches from the south and north respectively with the current mixed-width line Valencia – Tarragona. Both branches are joined by a track apparatus, starting the axis called Branch 1, constituting the rest of the route to access the port.
Access to the Port of Sagunt will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through Fr. Pluriregional of Spain 2014-2020, Thematic Objective 7: Sustainable transport
