The automation of the exit of the terminals, through ValenciaportPCS, has significantly reduced the number of incidents

The Official Inspection Services working group of the Port of Valencia Guarantee Mark has noted the speeding up of the exit of terminals for containers to be inspected at the Border Control Post (BCP) of the Valencian precinct. At the meeting held by the representatives of this group, it was made clear what a great step forward it is to have automated, through ValenciaportPCS, the departure from the terminals of those containers that are going to the inspection facilities in the port area. In this way, lorries can leave the terminal automatically with the containers that are authorised to be inspected. To do this, it is necessary to carry out the necessary documentary checks prior to the day scheduled for the inspection.
The implementation of this new system for automating the exit of container terminals with goods to be inspected, which until now involved managing a large volume of documentation in physical and electronic format, is significantly reducing the incidents that occurred at the terminal gates, as well as the delays and waiting times for carriers related to this issue.

On the other hand, the meeting also included a follow-up of the processes associated with each of the phases of the inspection operations at the Border Control Post, analysing the incidents detected in these processes.

Finally, the representatives of the working group also shared the improvement measures completed and those in the process of being developed in the GESPOS application (Gestor de Posicionados de ValenciaportPCS), the tool used to request appointments for containers to be inspected at the inspection facilities of the port precinct. Along these lines, a series of new proposals were put forward which will be analysed to assess the feasibility of their implementation.
