The representative of the Baltic country in Spain, Mariin Ratnik, visited the Port accompanied by the assistant director general of the PAV, Manuel Guerra

The Estonian Ambassador to Spain, Mariin Ratnik, visited the installations of the Port of València to get to know first-hand the operations and functioning of the port activity. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Assistant Director General of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), Manuel Guerra and representatives of the Valencia Chamber of Commerce.

During the visit, Manuel Guerra showed the evolution of the traffic channelled in recent years between the port of Valencia and the different Estonian ports of Tallinn, Muuga and Sillamae. He also explained the commitment that the PAV is making to sustainable growth to strengthen its activity as a mixed port combining export/import and transit container traffic to other ports.

The Estonian Ambassador also showed a particular interest in the digitisation projects being undertaken by the PAV such as ValenciaportPCS, a technological platform offering services to over 850 companies aimed at speeding up the operational processes of the port community.

In the first ten months of the year, the Port of Valencia has managed a total of 37,506 tonnes of goods with Estonia. Fruit; electrical appliances and material; ceramic products; machinery and mechanical appliances; and vegetables are the main products exported by the Community of Valencia to the Baltic country. While imports from Estonia are concentrated in chemical products; fish, crustaceans and molluscs; and fuels, mineral oils.
