Mar Chao, commercial and business development director of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) and Antonino Morvillo, captain of the MSC Gülsün, have carried out the metopes exchange

MSC Gülsün is the second vessel with a capacity of more than 23,000 containers to dock in the Port of Valencia in less than a week

València, June 10th, 2020.- MSC Gülsün has made its first call at the Port of Valencia to carry out a loading and unloading operation at the MSC Terminal. The commercial and business development director of the Port Authority of Valencia, Mar Chao and the captain of MSC Gülsün, Antonino Morvillo, have made the traditional exchange of metopes, which in the case of Valenciaport consists of a “Socarrat” designed with maritime motifs.

The container ship, which is on the Asia-Europe route, docked yesterday at the MSC terminal to carry out loading and unloading operations. MSC Gülsün, is the first ship built from a series of large container ships of the MSC shipping line. This ship is similar to the MSC Sixin which called at the port facilities in Valencia last week. MSC Gülsün is 400 metres long and 62 metres wide, enabling it to carry up to 23,756 TEU and 2,000 refrigerated containers. Like the ships of this series, the MSC Gülsün is designed with the latest technology and following strict environmental criteria.
