The Rellotge Building of the Port of Valencia is hosting the free exhibition ‘La Comunitat de l’humor. Valencian graphic references at the port’.

190 illustrations by 19 graphic humorists from the Valencian Community are on display, a look at current affairs through humour and reflection.

València, 5th January 2023.- More than 4,000 people have visited this Christmas the exhibition ‘La Comunitat de l’humor. Referents gràfics valencians al port’ in the Clock Building of the Port Authority of Valencia. Through 190 cartoons, the exhibition showcases the work of Valencian artists who deal with current affairs through drawing and wit. A good plan for the whole family to start 2023 enjoying an experience for all ages in a privileged setting in the city of Valencia.

La Comunitat de l’humor. Referents gràfics valencians al port’ has a space for children to carry out activities that bring them closer to the world of graphic humour. Children can draw and colour characters from the cartoons on display in the exhibition, developing their ingenuity and learning techniques with different materials.

The exhibition, which can be visited until 5 February between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. free of charge, shows the work of 19 cartoonists: Daniella Martí, Diana Raznovich, E. Hormigós, El Gat Invisible, Enrique, Harca, J. Aldeguer, L. Sánchez, Lalo Kubala, Lamber, Malagón, Manel Gimeno, Ortifus, Quique, Salazar, Sebas, Xipell, Yordi and Zo. The aim is to have a good time, to get to know the work of a selection of creators from our Comunitat and to encourage reflection among the visitors who come to the ‘Casal del Port’.

The exhibition is organised by the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) and has the collaboration of the University of Alcalá de Henares and the Quevedo Institute of the Arts of Humour.

With ‘La Comunitat de l’humor. Referents gràfics valencians al port’, the Clock Building is once again transformed into a point of reflection, which enlivens the critical spirit and reflects the concerns of the citizens, strengthening the port-city link which the APV is committed to and positioning itself as one of the points of reference for cultural activity in Valencia.
