
The port of Sagunto ended the month of November with a total traffic of 5,908,632 tonnes, a figure that means the return of the enclosure to the positive path with an increase of 0.40%.
Likewise, container traffic also grew by 82.35% to a total of 55,579 TEUs handled and car traffic rose by 3.26%, to 168,866 vehicles.
Containerised general cargo went up by 83.62%, to a total of 505.352 tonnes from January to November. Meanwhile, conventional general cargo decreased by 3.52% to 2,102,744 tonnes. This decrease was mainly due to poorer steel product traffic which fell by 5.76% to 1.64 million tonnes; though cars and their parts increased by 3.73% to 306,000 tonnes.
Solid bulk, with 1,090,710 tonnes, decreased by 0.37% compared to the same period in the previous year. Cement and clinker traffic went down by 45.22% to 290,000 tonnes; natural and artificial fertilizers rose by 20.18% to 312,000 tonnes; and finished construction materials increased by 2,181.02% to 234,000 tonnes.
Liquid bulk decreased by 5.07%, to a total of 2,195,363 tonnes. This decline was driven by the poor results of goods such as natural gas which fell by 5.23% to 1.96 million tonnes; and chemical products which decreased by 8.61% to 156,000 tonnes.
