The Valencian Port Authority has launched this action on social networks to highlight the commitment of the companies and workers who operate with Valenciaport.

The campaign encourages workers anywhere in the world who have a commercial or professional relationship with Valenciaport to send a photo of their office, of what can be seen from their offices and windows, of their ports, of their trucks, trains or warehouses, or of their group of colleagues.

A port community beyond borders and languages. The campaign starts in 5 languages (Spanish, Valencian, English, Basque and Galician) and is planned to be carried out in others (French, Italian, Arabic or Chinese) because Valenciaport works with all the countries of the world.

In recent years, Valenciaport has turned the use of social networks into a basic instrument to reinforce the feeling of belonging to the Port Community.

The workers and companies that operate in Valenciaport are the real protagonists that make the propellers of the activity of the Valencian ports turn and make possible the perfect coordination and efficiency so that the goods that enter and leave the docks reach their destinations and activate the world economy. To highlight this work, the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has launched the campaign on social networks #ComunidadValenciaport which focuses on these actors who operate directly or indirectly in the port areas of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia. Thanks to their daily work, Valenciaport is the leading port in Spain and the Mediterranean in terms of connectivity and container movement, providing service to export/import companies in its area of influence.

People from all corners of Spain and the world operate through Valenciaport to bring their goods in or out. A port community that knows no borders or languages. That is why this campaign has been designed in Spanish, Valencian, English, Basque, Galician and …. so that anyone linked to port activity can participate. Under the hashtag #ValenciaportCommunity, the PAV is encouraging companies and workers in the logistics community to send images (what they can see from their offices, what their workstation looks like, a photo of their colleagues in the office) and, if they want, to tell what their day-to-day life is like in the machinery that makes the Port of Valencia the perfect partner for products manufactured in Spain to reach any corner of the world.

In recent years, Valenciaport has turned the use of social networks into a basic instrument for reinforcing the feeling of belonging to the Port Community and an essential bridge for better knowledge between the Port community and the citizens of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia as a whole. This campaign aims to show the day-to-day work of the companies that facilitate the activity of a port area that annually moves more than 5.4 million containers and 80 million tonnes of goods. An operation that together make the difficult easy.

Humanisation and proximity

Thus, during the most critical moments of the COVID-19 crisis, the social networks have served to channel all the information from Valenciaport marked by the health emergency situation. In this line, for example, the solidarity campaign #AlPieDelCañon promoted the recognition of both health professionals and the logistics sector who, from the shadows, ensure that such an essential activity for the population does not stop. The campaign has received more than 100 videos in 14 languages and has had more than 100,000 video views and a reach of more than 500,000 people on the different social networks where it has been present (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Youtube).

In the last year, Valenciaport has multiplied its Facebook followers by six and has increased its LinkedIn users by 75%, Instagram users by 64% and Twitter users by 37%, making these tools an essential link in the relationship with the port community and the city, playing an essential role in the communication and transparency of Valenciaport, and as a complement to the informative work and outreach carried out by the media that follow the PAV’s activity.
