València, May 5th, 2021.- The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has updated the website of its Virtual Office with more advanced technology to allow a more comfortable and intuitive navigation, a more modernised aesthetic and a more comfortable and pleasant usability. The aim of this renovation is to make it even easier for citizens and companies to carry out procedures with Valenciaport, and to continue advancing in the process of digital transformation to facilitate the activity of the port community and companies that operate in the ports managed by the PAV.

One of the objectives of Valenciaport’s Strategic Plan is the firm commitment to Digital Transformation to promote new digital business and connectivity models and to position the port as ValenciaSmartPort. Along these lines, the APV continues to improve all telematic processes by updating services and adding new procedures. At present, some twenty administrative procedures can be carried out through the Valenciaport e-Office, a figure which is set to increase with the aim of ending this year with access to 30 procedures and 45 by 2022.

More and more citizens and companies are using e-administration to carry out procedures and speed up processes. In 2020, the PAV’s e-Administration managed a total of 18,428 electronically signed documents. In addition, it dealt with 4,120 requests through the incoming register, 67% of the total of all the documents submitted.

Valenciaport is making a firm commitment to this digitalisation with pioneering initiatives such as ValenciaportPCS, a technological platform that enables the secure exchange of information between the public and private agents that make up the port community. This platform offers more than 20 transactional and information services, automating port and logistics processes through a single data transmission and connecting transport and logistics chains. This tool created by the PAV enables greater efficiency in transactions, optimisation of resources, automation of processes and saves time and costs, as well as reducing errors.
