València, December 18 2025 – Valencia, December 18, 2025 – Valenciaport’s exhibition “Juguem? Redescobrim els nostres joguets” opens its doors this weekend. The exhibition is a tribute by the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) to a sector closely linked to the industrial history of the Valencian Community, with a strong export focus, which has used the Port of Valencia as its main gateway to different parts of the world.

The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Valencian Toy Museum, will be open to visitors at the Clock Building in the Port of Valencia from December 20 to February 8. Admission will be free and open to the public Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The exhibition will also remain open on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Three Kings Day.

Valencian toys have traveled across the seas and around the world. The Port of Valencia has sought to transform this historic export tradition into an exhibition and tribute to toys. In addition to showcasing the creativity of the sector, the exhibition will also allow visitors to take a journey through the history of this Valencian industry. The Valencian Community has a significant toy industry presence in regions such as Foia de Castalla, known as the Toy Valley, and in municipalities such as Ibi, Biar, Castalla, and Onil, as well as Dénia, which are international benchmarks in the toy industry. Toys thus became a demographic driver for the area from the early 20th century onwards, and a boost for female employment, as women became the main workforce in these factories.

In addition to the economic and social perspective that this sector has brought to the Valencian Community, the exhibition also offers a journey through the toys that have played a leading role in the childhoods of different generations. In this sense, the exhibition features toys from the beginning to the end of the 20th century.

Workshops for children and a mailbox for letters to the Three Wise Men

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of educational workshops designed to enable participants to learn about the history and values of the Valencian Community in a fun way through popular games, promoting social interaction and developing physical and cooperative skills.

The workshops will also be free of charge and will be held in the Clock Building, or outside if the weather permits. The workshops are scheduled for December 24 and 28, January 2, 10, 16, 22, and 27, and February 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children aged 5 and older are welcome to participate. Registration must be done by emailing [email protected]

The exhibition hall will also feature a space dedicated to children, where there will be a mailbox for them to leave their letters to the Three Kings, as Their Majesties will arrive in Valencia via the port.
