• The Port Authority of Valencia dedicates the month of June to the environment with activities such as the exhibition “Consciència en verd” where Mafalda’s cartoons invite to reflect on responsible behaviour towards nature.
  • The Clock building will also host a conference on new fuels in the maritime-port sector on Thursday 5 June.
  • Also throughout the month, Valenciaport has organised educational workshops focused on the importance of reducing carbon emissions.

València, 2 June 2025 – The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) is once again dedicating the month of June to the protection of the natural environment and care and respect for the environment. For this reason, throughout the month it has programmed informative activities centred on this theme. One of them is the exhibition “Consciència en verd” which can be visited from 2 to 29 June free of charge from 11am to 7pm.

From today, the hall of the Clock Building is hosting this exhibition made up of cartoons that, through humour, invite us to reflect on responsible behaviour towards nature. Mafalda is the main protagonist, but not the only one, as, together with Quino’s cartoons, visitors can enjoy the creativity of other international graphic artists who, in a humorous and ironic tone, invite us to become aware of the importance of caring for the natural environment.

New Fuels’ conference

In addition, and on the occasion of the celebration of World Environment Day on Thursday 5 June, Valenciaport together with the Valenciaport Foundation and the Ecoport working group (made up of companies from the port community), have organised an informative conference on the research and use of new fuels in the maritime-port sector.

This event, which is held in person, will be held in the Clock Building of the Port of Valencia under the slogan “New fuels”. Leading experts will be taking part with the aim of explaining the uses and applications and research into marine and terrestrial fuels.

The environment has become the transversal axis of Valenciaport’s activity, a strategy promoted with the aim of achieving climate neutrality in all its activity.

Recycled art workshops

In parallel to the exhibition and the day, the APV has organised educational workshops in the Clock Building with the aim of making young people aware of its commitment to environmental care and the importance of reducing carbon emissions. Aimed at students from 5 years of age and with the aim of stimulating the imagination, raising awareness of the environment and having fun as a team, the aim of the workshop will be to make a collage and a mask – based on two illustrations by Quino – using different elements collected from nature and recycled.

The workshops will be held next to the exhibition hall between 11.30 and 13.30 on the following days: 6, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 25 and 29 June. The groups will be of 25 students and to make a reservation please send an email to: [email protected]
