
València, 4 April 2025.- The Port Governance and Management and Energy and Blue Growth Committees of ESPO (European Sea Ports Organisation) met on 3 and 4 April in the Clock Building of the Port Authority of València, to address relevant European policy issues in port matters and to share experiences among its members.
Among the matters dealt with, the future European Ports Strategy – which is expected to be developed during 2025 – or the process being followed in European ports for the implementation of electricity supply to ships and their future role in the energy transition. Isabelle Ryckbost, secretary general of ESPO, chaired both meetings in which the heads of the ports of València, Algeciras, Barcelona, Gdansk, Castellón, Piraeus, Cartagena, Haropa, Las Palmas, Tenerife, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Venice, Trieste, Gothenburg, Lisbon and the Port Associations of Finland and Norway took part.
