The Port of Valencia is an essential cog in the Spanish economy, and in the Valencian economy in particular, thanks to the services it provides in sending goods to international markets. Over 100 regular shipping lines operate out of the Port of Valencia, connecting it directly to over 1,000 ports around the world.

This was the explanation given by the Port’s Chairman to a delegation of business people from inland towns in the Valencian Region who visited the Port today, joined by the President of the Valencian Provincial Council, Jorge Rodríguez.
“I tell everybody –said the Chairman of the Port Authority of Valencia- to use the Port as it is a logistics service hub that is relevant for the entire Valencian Region. This is a fantastic facility, which is connected to a thousand ports. We should be proud of it and make the most of it. We can send goods anywhere in the world at highly competitive rates because we have the best shipping companies.

The Port of Valencia, as the Chairman has explained, is a hub that we must take advantage of. It is a major strong point for exporters thanks to its robust infrastructure. We should be proud of this and use it as much as possible. I am very grateful to Aurelio for inviting us and for his willingness to work with all the economic agents in Valencia”.

Aurelio Martínez explained the main facts and figures of the Port of Valencia to this group of businesspeople, and outlined the advantages of working with the port. He also explained why it is the Mediterranean’s leading facility and one of the five most competitive ports in Europe. This international outreach is highly valued by exporters and importers as one of the main services available to Valencian industries today.
