Gandía, April 26 2017. – The Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has cleaned Gandia´s Venice beach since numerous waste has accumulated as the result of the storms that took place during the past winter. PAV resorted to the services of a specialized company in the cleaning and removal of this type of waste in coastal areas that used loaders in order to leave Venice´s beach sand free of any type of waste.

During the work, which took place last March with an approximate duration of three days, about 240 tonnes of waste were removed by approximately 20 trucks. The waste, mainly reeds and seaweed, were later transferred by trucks to a waste management plant to receive an adequate treatment.

Venice beach is located in the south of the marina and at the Serpis river mouth. It is a small and quiet beach of fine sand bordered by a dune string fixed with vegetation.
