
The Clock Building of the port of Valencia has hosted the delivery of RTG number 100 of the Finnish company Konecranes.
The event was attended by Manuel Guerra, Deputy Director of the PAV; Josep Vicent Boira, Autonomous Secretary of Housing, Public Works and Territory Vertebration; Tuomas Saastamoinen, Konecranes vice-president, as well as representatives of the Valencian port community.
During the event, it was recalled that the first crane of these characteristics was installed in the port of Valencia and, currently, more than half of the RTG’s Konecranes fleet is located in this area. Manuel Guerra stressed that “from the PAV we will continue working to be able to increase and strengthen our position in inter-oceanic shipping to adequately meet the demands and needs of the economic fabric of our hinterland, so that the port can continue to connect the Spanish foreign trade with the markets of the five continents and so that companies like Konecranes can continue to grow.”
The event concluded with a visit by sea to the port of Valencia, where they have been attended by Juan Manuel Díez, head of the planning and management of the PAV.
