A building open to the public
With this initiative, the PAV is resuming the use of audiovisual, video streaming, television and radio resources so that the cultural events and exhibitions held in the Clock Building have a social resonance that goes beyond such an emblematic building. Now it is going one step further with the ‘Clock Hour’, a streaming programme to show the exhibitions organised by Valenciaport.
During the Unforgettable Images exhibition, dedicated to reflecting the impact that COVID’19 was having on our lives, an informative day was organised via video streaming with the participation of journalists and correspondents from various Spanish media in different countries around the world. On the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to Quino, the creator of Mafalda, a colloquium debate was broadcast on the figure and work of the Argentinean artist.
This same year, during the exhibition on design applied to Valencian export products, ‘València, Porta al Disseny’, Valencian radio stations were invited to broadcast their specials or programmes from the Clock Building itself; and the ‘Casal del Port’ was visited by RNE, SER, COPE, Apunt Ràdio, EsRadio, ONDA CERO, InterEconomía and Capital Radio. But also Levante TV, La 8 TV Mediterráneo and Tele 7 Valencia made specials for their respective stations. The central hall of the Clock Building was open to the public while prominent Valencian TV and radio professionals talked to design professionals and a variety of guests. With this last and unique initiative alone, the details of the exhibition “València, porta al disseny” reached more than 200,000 people.
