Valencia is a cruise port that offers all the services and attractions of the most sought-after destinations in the Mediterranean, combined with the authentic Mediterranean flavour.

Discover the port’s present and future facilities and all the attraction of an innovative destination for all types of shipping lines and cruise passengers.

The Port of Valencia is well connected to the two main tourist areas of the city: the historic centre and the City of Arts and Sciences.

At the very entrance of the port there are two municipal bus lines (EMT BUS) to visit the historic centre and admire the architecture of the modern part of the city. Buses for excursions can stop at different places in the historic centre. The most popular stop for cruise ships is “Guadalaviar”, located at the entrance to the historic centre at the Torres de Serrano.

Sea and beach lovers can stroll along the Marina of Valencia and enjoy the urban beaches of Cabañal and Malvarrosa.

Quays

Valenciaport is adapting its facilities for container and cruise traffic. At the northern end of the port, until the end of 2024 the quays for serving large cruise ships (CRUCEROS 1 Quay and CRUCEROS 2 Quay), works have begun for the future North Container Terminal. Therefore, those quays are no longer available to serve cruise ships.

For 2025, two new berths and 2 new passenger services areas have been added at the quays adjacent to the TRASMED passenger terminal

Quays adjacent to the TRASMED passenger terminal.

The PONIENTE and TRANSVERSAL PONIENTE quays, adjacent to the TRASMED passenger terminal (Grimaldi Group), cater for ships of less than 300m in length. The terminal has two fingers and comfortable and efficient services to serve ships, crew and passengers.

The TRASMED terminal is located at the northern entrance of the port, the closest to the city and in a freely accessible area.

Temporary quays for the year 2025

Due to the works on the northern extension of the Port of Valencia, two additional berths have been enabled, temporarily for the year 2025, to cater for ships more than 300m in length: the “EAST BREAKWATER” Quay and the “LEVANTE” Quay.

Cruise ship quays and infrastructure from 2026 on

Due to the works, which will be in full swing by 2026, the cruise ship quays will be limited to serving ships of less than 300m in length. Therefore, the “EAST BREAKWATER” and “LEVANTE” quays, which have been made available for the year 2025, will no longer be available. The quays available from 2026 will be the PONIENTE and TRANSVERSAL PONIENTE quays, adjacent to the TRASMED passenger terminal (Grimaldi Group). The Port Authority of Valencia is planning the development of the area destined for passengers and planning future infrastructures for regular line passengers and cruise ships.
