Valencia, 14 August 2025 – In July, Valenciaport handled 492,874 TEUs (6.1-metre containers) and 3.26 million between January and July. The July figures represent a monthly increase of 6.88% compared with the same month last year, while the total for the first seven months shows a rise of 4.28%.
On a year-on-year basis, over the past twelve months the terminals managed by the Valencia Port Authority (APV) have moved 5.6 million TEUs, 8.43% more than in the same period of the previous year.
By weight, the APV’s docks handled 47.75 million tonnes in the first seven months of the year (including fishing and ship supplies), 1.06% less – a decrease partly due to a drop of just over 10% in the handling of solid bulk.
Overall, Valenciaport maintained in July the trend of recent months: growth in full export containers (+3.53%) and imports (+17.52%), and a decline in transhipments (-2.23%).
Regarding Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) traffic – that is, cargo that is loaded or unloaded on its own wheels, such as lorry platforms, lorries, vehicles, etc. – 8.37 million tonnes have been handled so far this year through this mode, with a total of 318,650 ITUs (intermodal transport units), representing an increase of 3.65%.
As for rail transport, the cumulative total for the year is almost 2 million tonnes (exactly 1,929,762), 9.09% more than in the same period of 2024.
In passenger traffic, users of regular lines (466,549) already outnumber cruise passengers (430,223) so far this year.
