Valencia, 9 July 2025 – The Port of Valencia has launched a new Operational Alert Manager (GAO), integrated into its official mobile application ValenciaportPCS, aimed at improving the speed and effectiveness of information flow in the event of any disruption affecting land transport in or around the port area.

Available free of charge on the App Store (iPhone) and Play Store (Android), this new feature is embedded within the Land Transport module of the ValenciaportPCS app. A QR code has also been made available to allow users to access the app directly from their phones without the need to search for it manually.

Through the Alert Manager, users will receive real-time notifications on important events such as terminal gate closures, road works or blockages, strikes, scanner operations or other incidents potentially impacting port-related road traffic.

This tool represents a significant improvement for all links in the logistics chain, equipping companies, hauliers, and the Port Authority itself with greater resilience to respond to incidents more quickly and with minimal disruption.

For the port and terminal operators, it enhances coordination and reduces response times to unforeseen events. For hauliers and their companies, it offers valuable information to plan arrivals, deliveries and departures based on real data and forecasts. For the overall logistics system, it delivers speed, transparency and efficiency, helping to reduce bottlenecks and improving service quality.

The feature was presented at the latest session of the Port of Valencia’s Quality Council, where the progress of the various Working Groups of the Marca de Garantía was reviewed.

During the session, the Communications Protocol Working Group highlighted that the GAO allows the message sender to share information directly, without intermediaries, ensuring fast, reliable and traceable operational communication. With this initiative, the Port of Valencia reaffirms its commitment to digitalisation, logistics efficiency and the continuous improvement of service to all stakeholders involved in port activity.
