València, 3 of June 2025. The strategic position of Valenciaport, with the specialized docks of its three ports of Valencia, Gandia and Sagunto; its central location on the Spanish Mediterranean coast; its global connectivity and the efficiency of its port community at the service of companies make Valenciaport one of the best options for foreign trade in the south of the European Union. This was stated this morning by Mar Chao, president of the Port Authority of Valencia at the presentation of Valenciaport which took place at the Transport Logistics trade fair in Munich.

Mar Chao heads the Valenciaport trade delegation attending this important event, currently one of the largest international trade fairs dedicated to logistics, mobility, information technology and supply chain management. In its 2023 edition, it brought together more than 2,300 exhibitors from 67 countries and attracted the interest of 75,000 professionals of 135 nationalities.

The relevance of Sagunto

The organisation of the event wanted to highlight in this edition the focus on sustainability and digitalisation as drivers of transformation in logistics; aspects on which Valenciaport is focusing a large part of its future projections, especially in the introduction of the railway in the port of Sagunto (and reinforcing it in Valencia).

In Sagunto, for the importance that its port and industrial area are acquiring; and in Valencia for the new roads and accesses, and for the commissioning of the first railway motorway in Spain, which also combines and continues with the maritime motorways. Also, for the reality that the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) is already a reality.

Spain has a significant presence at the fair, with the participation of 16 Port Authorities (including Valencia), which share a stand with Puertos del Estado.
